We had such a late spring this year that I did not get anything planted in my garden until the beginning of June, and now that my veggies are starting to grow, the weather is the least of my problems. The critters have moved in and started munching the tender leaves so now the battle starts to try to keep them out of my garden.

Ants don’t care how good of a housekeeper you are. If they want to get into your house to search for food, they will usually find a way. Even worse than that, if they discover the smallest tidbit of food, they will return and bring a whole bunch of their friends with them. Once inside, you will face a real challenge when it comes to how to get rid of the ants.

I really dislike using bug spray, whether it is store bought or homemade. Because of this I do end up with mosquito bites. Perhaps once I get all of my mosquito repellant plants planted it will help; but, until then I need to find a way to deal with any bites me and the kids get.
